First Lego League

FLL introduces elementary school kids to challenges in math, science and technology. These kids will build robots using mindstorms and legos that will complete different tasks based on the game each season. The students are guided by mentors and adult coaches to discover exciting career possibilities and, through the process, learn to make positive contributions to society.

FLL has three main parts. There is the core values, robot game, and project. The core values teach competition, mutual gain and the aspect of teamwork. The robot gamu uses LEGO MINDSTORMS in a 2.5 minute game. They have to program the NXT to do various missions trying to score the most points. For the project the teams must identify and solve a real world problem related to the topic of the competition.

The Challenge this year was Food Factor. The differend missions showed the importance of keeping meet cold, washing off bacteria, correctly seeting timers, and many more.
